Zine #7 - Taipei

Taipei is another city I regularly visit for work. It has a little bit of everything: hi-tech companies, temples, efficient public transport, bicycles, night markets, bubble tea, and pineapple cakes.

Some parts of the city feel very modern, especially around Taipei 101, while other neighbourhoods still carry a charming vintage feel. In some ways, Taipei reminds me of Malaysia — familiar, lively, and full of small details that make it interesting to explore.

It is also a great city for photography at any time of the day. You can head up Elephant Mountain for the classic view of Taipei 101, wander the streets during the day, or photograph the night markets in the evening. I normally do photography with a local friend, with a coffee session in between.
