Travel Matrix (2016-2020)

This is a collection of photos from Travel Matrix, taken during my work trips across 13 different countries and economies between 2016 — possibly 2014! — and 2020. Some of these photos were also uploaded to “Unsplash” when I was using the platform.
I chose the title “Travel Matrix” because it is the phrase we use at work to keep track of everyone’s travel activities.
One reason I like bringing a camera on work trips is that it gives me an excuse to leave the hotel and actually experience the people and places around me. Most of the time, that means heading out early in the morning, after work, or in the evening. Sometimes I would wander around on my own, and other times with friends.
During this period, I was shooting with a Nikon D5200. In the earlier years, I mostly used the 18–105mm kit lens that came with the camera. Later on, I started using the Nikon 35mm AF lens.
The last photo in the zine was taken in Melbourne, Australia, just as COVID-19 was starting to appear in the news — shortly before the country went into lockdown.
