Welcome to FotoKopi!
After a few months of putting this site together, FotoKopi is finally live.
FotoKopi is a personal space for sharing photographs, especially those taken while travelling. Some of these photos have appeared on Threads or Facebook, but social media platforms can be temporary, and the way they present and circulate our work is often beyond our control. FotoKopi gives the photographs a place of their own—away from the constant flow of social media, in a space I can shape and look after myself.
The photographs will mostly be published as small zines, each based around a place or theme and containing a selection of images that work well together.
The idea of making zines was partly inspired by a YouTube video from photojournalist Sean Rayford. A few printed zines were also made last year and given to friends as gifts. They seemed to enjoy them, which encouraged the idea of continuing the project online.
